Heart of Roses

Well, here is the center of my "Heart of Roses" quilt. I started this project years ago and put it away when I got frustred with the applique. Now that I have found this applique technique by Beth Ferrier I have found a new like of applique. Not in love with it yet, but it is more enjoyable.

So, I pulled this UFO out of the chest and today I got my center finished. I am so excited!!

Taylor's Tulips update

Here is my center with the applique
I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

Bear and I

Well, this is Bear and I. I really hate photos of myself.
As you can see Bear is the better looking of the two of us. LOL
I really do like this horse a lot.

Rode the Battle fields of Gettysburg

A group of us went to Gettysburg PA and rode the battle fields. We put 25 miles on our horses and in the saddle. It was a wonderful weekend of ridding, eatting and being with friends and family.

An addition to the Herd

For the past few months we have been looking for a horse for Jessica, or 15 year old daughter. You know the type, been there done that. Not so old that he or she wouldn't be fun, but old enough to be smart with a beginner rider on her back.
A horse with trail experience and ring work. Well, our search is over.

Meet Desi, she is a 14 year old QH/pony. She is 14 hands high and
a real sweet heart. That's Jessica on Desi for the first time. Desi is a retired lesson pony and has trail experience. She hasn't been ridden in a while, so our trainer will give her a refresher course. But this little girl is so smart, it won't take much. Jessica is so excited. Desi will arrive at our stable on Sat. This is going to be so special to watch their friendship grow.
Thank you Christine for your faith in us and allowing us to adopt Desi. You will always have a special place in our hearts. God Bless
