Sending it out to be quilted

I just don't have the time. So, I will send it out to be quilted. Makes me feel so bad, I should have found the time to do it myself.

Rain, Rain, go away!

This gal wants to play. LOL It has rained now for two days. Things are nice and wet and the trails are really muddy I'm sure. I may go to the barn today just to play with Bear.

I'm not sure how I am going to handle it when I have my surgery and can't ride for weeks. It's going to drive me nuts!!

Hozoni

Joshua, adopted a 7 year old retired AKC finished Champion Cocker Spaniel. Hozoni is such a sweetie, and seems to have taken to Josh already. She and Josh will be staying with us until Josh finds a teaching job and gets settled in a new apartment.

Bachelorette party

Because Amanda is not having any bridal party attendants, her future mother-in-law gave her the next best thing. We went as a group and pampered ourselves. We all got manicures and some got pedicures. Then we went to Olive Garden for lunch.

What a fun GIRLS day out.

Bridal Shower

Samantha and Jessica gave their sister a bridal shower. It was a great hit, and Amanda sure did get a lot of gifts. Amanda is in the Middle, Samantha is on the left and Jessica is on the right.

Those are not real flowers on the top of the cake. They are hand made using gum paste. Aren't they pretty?

Skittles

Skittles, my scarlet macaw, went to the bird rescue today. With our trip to the beach for a week, the wedding, the week before the reception, my surgery, and weeks of rehab we felt it was best. The house will be strangely quite. Skittle's was here 8 years and was a buddy. But the rest of the family could not interact with him and it would be just to dangerous for them to care for him alone over the next 11 weeks. Betty will take wonderful care of him, and I don't have to worry about someone getting hurt.

Kelsey

Kelshey 4-11-1997 to 5-14-2009

If it should be....

If it should be that I grow frail and weak, and pain should keep me from my sleep,

then you must do what must be done, for we know this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand, but don't let grief then stay your hand,

for this day, more than the rest, your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years, what is to come can hold no fears.

Would you want me to suffer? So,when the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend, only stay with me until the end,

and hold me firm and speak to me,until my eyes no longer see.

It is a kindness that you do to me,although my tail it's last has waved,

from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve, it should be you,who must decide this thing to do.

We've been so close, we two these years,

Don't let your heart hold any tears.

She will be greatly missed.
