Hunt has begun

I am going to be starting the new BOM by Beth Ferrier. By the time I decided to do this quilt, the kits were gone. So, off to the local quilt shop to see if I can find some fabric.

Quilting suggestions needed

I want to start hand quilting this quilt, It is called a "Carpenters Square" I found the pattern on some very old yellow paper that was in a trunk of my grandmothers. Each block was 24 inches square and it took 72 pins in each row just to keep from loosing the points.

Churn Dash Quilt

This is the latest quilt top that I've finished. The center is made with 3 inch blocks. The set of blocks are 6 inch, then 9 inch and the outside is made using 12 inch blocks. The plan is to hand quilt it, lol we'll see, for how it goes on the stack with the rest.

Here are some photos that I took at the Lancaster quilt show.

Churn Dash

This is my current project. The center Churn Dash blocks are only 3 inch finished squares. I don't paper piece so those were a challange. The next set of blocks are 6 inch finished Churn Dash. Now, I am in the process of adding 9 inch Churn Dash blocks set on point again. The last border will be 12 inch finished Churn Dash blocks. I am leaving open blocks, setting trianles and wide borders to show off fancy quilting.

I will be adding more photos as the quilt grows. So, check back often.
