Kelshey 4-11-1997 to 5-14-2009

If it should be....

If it should be that I grow frail and weak, and pain should keep me from my sleep,

then you must do what must be done, for we know this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand, but don't let grief then stay your hand,

for this day, more than the rest, your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years, what is to come can hold no fears.

Would you want me to suffer? So,when the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend, only stay with me until the end,

and hold me firm and speak to me,until my eyes no longer see.

It is a kindness that you do to me,although my tail it's last has waved,

from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve, it should be you,who must decide this thing to do.

We've been so close, we two these years,

Don't let your heart hold any tears.

She will be greatly missed.

Roses are Done

I have been working on the roses for the "Now and Forever" block of the month that Beth Ferrier (http://applewd.com/BOM/page1.html is offering on the Internet. There are 28 total roses, 4 roses from 7 different colors.

I also finished my leaves all 100 of them.

Now, onto the other 2 bom's that are waiting.

Amanda Graduates

Our daughter Amanda graduated from Mansfield University today, earning her BS in Nursing. She Graduated Cum Laude, and also received an monetary award from the Board of Directors of the Guthrie Clinic as the graduating nursing student who showed the most dedication to her patients, faculty and other nursing students.

Amanda will take her state boards before the end of the month. On June 1st she will be getting married to a wonderful young man we just adore.

She has also been hired as an Emergency Department nurse and will start her new job in July.

So, two children down and 2 more to go.

A huge gift

Today Randy took me for a new saddle. The local tack shop had three that were my size and would fit Bear. It was so hard, but it came down to the black King Series Western Pleasure Trail saddle. It has a gel padded seat, for those long trail rides, and shock absorbing sturups.
I rode in it for about 3 hours this afternoon and then again an hour this evening after dinner. It feels great and it really fits Bear.
I am like a kid on Christmas day.

Happy Easter

Penny

I have been doing some window shopping

These would be a treat to myself, they are made by the Tucker Saddle company. The saddle has extra gel in the seat, and a wider tree for Bear's comfort too. It will be a while before I can afford them, but hey we all have to have dreams. Maybe this fall
