Update on my Cathedral Window

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Mine was wonderful; Santa was very good to me.

I’ve been enjoying some time off from work so I’ve been working on my Cathedral Window. I want to enter it in our local county fair that’s held in July. I learned that the rules state, it must measure at least 76 inches by 86 inches. So, I have a ton of stitching to do.

The method I’m using for this Cathedral Window is a modern twist on a traditional pattern. I will post a tutorial in a few days and share the steps.
This quilt has been a wonderful project. Each time I pull a different window pane square I remember the project it came from. It has also been a great way to use up all those small pieces of muslin that I have had sitting around here.

To date the quilt measures 36 inches by 76 inches. I am working on smaller sections and then attach them to the larger panel. Right now I am working on another 36x76 inch panel. I have three rows done, and just started the 4th.

Have a great day, and keep checking back to watch my progress on this project.
