Be a Donor

If you are a follower of my blog you know that in the near future, I will be facing vascular bypass surgery in my leg . After extended research and guidance from the Dr. I have decided to receive a vein from a human donor. The Dr has requested that the donor be younger than 30.

Yes, my new vein will come from someone who was generous enough to sign his or her organ card. It's not just hearts, kidney's lungs and livers that saves lives.

When you become a donor they also use your veins, skin, and soft tissue to help others live normal lives.
For the first time in 10 years I have the hope of living a normal life again and it's due to the fact someone, or their family, was generous enough to choose donation. If you haven't become a donor yet, please consider giving the gift of life, you never know who's life you might be saving.

As long as I have had my driver's license I have also had a signed organ donor card on it or right behind it in my wallet. And, my family know that is my wish.

I also have the donor designation on my driver's license, and have had for years. I wish I could donate a lovely vein for you, dear Penny, but I don't think it is time for that, just yet. I know you will get one, and am waiting for that very good news. You are still in my daily prayers, sweetie.
