Hello Friends/New tip

I am going to start a new post idea. Each Sat. I will post a handy dandy tip to help quilters get organised. Today I went to the, "Dollar Store" and grabbed a kitchen silver ware drawer organiser, it cost me $1.50. I also picked up an ice cube tray for $.75 cents. I brought them home and headed right to the sewing room. My desk drawer was a mess, bobbin thread, needles paper, pens, pencils, markers, thread, scissors, you name it, it was stuffed in that drawer. I should have taken a before photo, but didn't think about it until now. lol
What a huge difference. For just a few bucks, I have this well organized drawer. As you can see from the photos the ice cube tray was great for holding bobbins, pins, and all those little things that get scattered. The silver wear tray worked GREAT!!

If you have any helpful tips and would like to share, please e-mail me and I will post them here, giving you credit of course.
Have a great day, stop back next week for more helpful hints.
Peaceful Piecing.
Penny

I bought a stack of the small baskets from the dollar store to organize my sewing drawers. There are usually 2 or 3 in a stack - long ones & small rectangle ones. They are shallow enough to fit in the drawer. It makes everything stay in place, nice & neat.

Thanks for the tip about the ice cube trays - my drawers are too narrow for the traditional desk drawer organizer, but 2 ice cube trays will fit!
