Here I Go Again :)

Make sure you are sitting down, I didn't think I would ever say this, I LOVE APPLIQUE!! So much so that I have started another applique quilt top

LOL Take a deep breath before you pass out. LOL
One day while in #Quiltchat we were talking about Block's of the Month found on the Internet. A website called, "Fat Cat Patterns" was mentioned and the following URL was flashed, http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/

Oh am I in trouble deep! LOL I fell in love with the, "Baltimore Blues" block of the month. I even had the perfect fabric. I had a lot of the same fabric that I am using for my, "Taylor's Tulips" bom.

The "Baltimore Blues" is started, block one is done and block 2 is cut out. I just might start appliqueing it tonight.

I will post a photo of block 1 tomorrow and if I don't go to bed to early block 2 might be there too. LOL
Peaceful Piecing.

World Alzheimer's Day September 21st.

Help us honor and remember our loved ones who have/had Alzheimer's disease on World Alzheimer's Day (September 21) by creating a personalized Virtual Quilt Patch in their memory. Display it on your web page, blog, social networking site, or send it around in an email to help increase awareness. If you would like to create your own patch click on the following link.

My patch is for my father who lost his battle with Alzheimer's on July 18th 2005.

We miss you daddy.

Can you find the mistake?

GRRR this months installment of the Burning the Midnight Oil BOM is making me grey!

There were only 4 blocks to piece but, I have had a hard time with them. First there was a small mistake in the pattern, Heather fixed that. Then, as I was finishing the 4 blocks up Jessica came into the sewing room and pointed out to me that I had a HST unit in upside down!! So, more seams to rip out and resew.

I am making a date with Ms Clairol to cover these new grey hairs.

My Pinwheel and Posies BOM is done

I just finished my Pinwheel and Posies BOM by Beth Ferrier I am so excited that it is done!!!
This was a lot of fun. This project helped me get over my fear of applique. Thanks to Beth, I would recommend doing any of her BOM's .

Windmill's is DONE

After being put away in a shoe box for the past 11 years this poor UFO (un-finished object) is now a quilt top. :)
One more quilt that I can add to the "To Be Quilted" pile. That pile is getting taller and taller.
I will dig again into the chest and pull out yet another UFO and work on getting it done also.

My Pinwheel sampler

This great on line friend of mine has twisted my arm to do this Pinwheel sampler with her. LOL

The blocks are 12.5 inches unfinished. The photo is of my fabric choices.

The large floral print will be my border the print on the right will be my sashing fabric. The red print on the left will be the corner stones. The light, med, and dark prints will be my pinwheel blocks.

If you would like to join us here is the link where you too can find the pattern http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/pinwheel_sampler.htm

Check back often for updates and photos of my blocks.
